Trappers wrangle 10-foot gator spotted in SW Miami-Dade pool Trappers made a house call in Southwest Miami-Dade after an unwanted guest was spotted taking a dip in a swimming pool.The Pesky Critters Wildlife Control organization was called out to a house located along West Calusa Club Drive, Sunday evening.Trappers said the large reptile went swimming behind the home.One of the trappers wrangled the scaly intruder, and his colleagues were able to record the capture on video.They are currently looking for a place to take the gator to live in captivity. They can’t release it into the wild, because chances are it will come right back.

BSO deputy hurt in multi-vehicle crash on Turnpike in Deerfield Beach A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy is recovering following a crash on the Florida Turnpike in Deerfield Beach.Multiple law enforcement and fire agencies responded to the scene of the crash along the northbound lanes near Southwest 10th Street, just north of the Sawgrass Expressway, at around 6 a.m., Sunday.The deputy was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.BSO detectives said three vehicles were involved in the wreck, but how it happened remains under investigation.
